Eliza Fletcher’s Abduction:
Eliza is the mother of two young children and junior kindergarten teacher at St. Mary’s Episcopal School. Eliza began her morning jogging on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 4:00 AM. She did not return to her home. Eliza’s husband called police and reported her missing.
Eliza is the granddaughter to Orgill, the hardware giant. Eliza was running in the area and near the UoM. Eliza, who is 5′ 6″ tall and 137 pounds, is fair in colour. She has brown hair, green eyes, and brown hair. Eliza was wearing purple shorts and a pink top while running on Friday morning.

Police found footage that showed Eliza being passed by a black GMC Terrain SUV and stopping in close proximity. Eliza was forced to sit in the passenger seat by the driver of the SUV. The SUV remained stationary for only a few moments.
Further investigation revealed that Abston’s employer had confirmed that the SUV belonged a family member. Abston’s data from his mobile indicated that he was at the kidnapping site on Friday morning. Mario Abston, his brother, told police that Cleotha had been to his home on Friday and washed his clothes in a sink. He also cleaned the interior of his SUV and was acting strangely.
The Eliza Fletcher kidnapping video footage was used by the police to locate the sandals of Cleotha Absston. She had been in prison for twenty-five years, from November 2001 until November 2021. Abston is a local resident. Abston’s DNA was found on the sandals. The police also found footage of Abston in the sandals the day before.
